Yami Gautams Bridal Look

Some of our lives may be on hold, but that hasn’t stopped good news from popping up on our feeds every now and then. Recently, it was Bollywood actor Yami Gautam who took to social media to share a special announcement with her followers. Just like Dia Mirza who got married during the lockdown, Yami chose to celebrate her big day in a traditional red saree with gold detailing.

Yami Gautam got married to Aditya Dhar, the infamous director of the movie Uri: The Surgical Strike. They tied the knot earlier on the 4th of July, 2021 in what looked like a very intimate ceremony in the hills of her home state. The couple met on the sets of Uri: The Surgical Strike. This movie marked Aditya’s directorial debut and had Yami playing the remarkable role of an intelligence officer. Gautam decided to wear a very traditional red saree with golden detailing on her big day.

“With the blessings of our family, we have tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony today. Being very private people, we celebrated this joyous occasion with our immediate family. As we embark on the journey of love and friendship, we seek all your blessings and good wishes,” Yami Gautam, the bride, wrote under the very first post after and from her wedding, where she was seen sitting next to her husband Aditya Dhar in her wedding saree.

Yami wore the marvelous deep red saree with gold jewellery. To give her a perfect Indian bridal look, she put on an embroidered bridal dupatta, odhani, like a veil. While her odhani featured intricate goldwork, her blouse stood out for its floral pattern. The ensemble was layered with a remarkable combination of items. Yami completed her wedding rig-out with a regal gold choker, haar, maang tikka, and kalire, along with traditional chooda bangles. Aditya, Yami’s husband, complemented her look in a classic ivory sherwani topped off with muted goldwork.

If you’re thinking of getting hitched in the near future as well, it may be a good idea to skip on heavy lehengas and instead, pick an heirloom-worthy saree that’s in the trend now.
